Introducing NamSoya: Our emerging community brand for high-quality, chemical-free soy products!
Our journey is rooted in the reclamation of "ancient knowledge" and the legacy of Maria Orosa, a Filipino hero who used the nutrient-dense soybean to save thousands from malnutrition during World War II. We believe the soybean industry has since been "corrupted" by a shift toward GMO-heavy animal feeds, leaving almost no organic soya in the mainstream market.
Founded by a core team of MISSION members (Movement of Imaginals for Sustainable Societies through Initiatives, Organizing and Networking) under the intellectual and strategic guidance of Nicanor Perlas, AVCWOI was established to institutionalize a "true" value chain. We officially received our SEC Certificate of Incorporation on March 7, 2026, marking our formal commitment to a 50-year term of service to the farmers of Iloilo.
Our team’s expertise is grounded in over a decade of "walking the talk." Since 2013, our founders have served as strategic partners of the LifeBank Foundation (LBF), implementing seminal nationwide initiatives founded by Nicanor Perlas, including the Smart Agriculture Program (SAP), Solutions Ecosystem Activators (SEA), and Ecosystem of Stakeholders for Sustainable Agriculture (ESSA).
AVCWOI is the practical operationalization of these years of rigorous field research, designed to translate the Smart Agriculture framework into a permanent, community-led "weaver" of the soya value chain.
Our Vision: To serve as a pioneering "Proof of Concept" for a holistic, soil-to-table agricultural model that can be scaled across the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
Our Mission: To establish and manage a regenerative, climate-responsive, and community-led value chain that integrates production, processing, and marketing. We aim to empower youth, women, and local farmers by providing sustainable livelihoods while ensuring the availability of healthy, chemical-free food for the community.
We are guided by seven uncompromising core values that define both our organizational culture and the character of our members:
1. Inner Conditioning
The Root
True transformation begins within. We focus on human development that strengthens character, consciousness, and internal alignment before any technical or operational work even begins.
2. Service to Humanity
The Mission
We offer our unique and special talents in the service of our fellow human beings, to advance the common good.
3. Regenerative Stewardship
The Earth
(Balik-Yamang Lupa) We practice, champion, and preach agriculture that actively gives back to the earth, driving a grassroots Safe Food Movement.
4. Bayanihan Economics
The Community
We reject cut-throat marketplace competition. We treat the entire value chain as a mutually supportive ecosystem, transforming individual farmers into collective entrepreneurs to keep wealth rooted locally.
5. Cultural Respect
The Anchor
We honor local wisdom, traditional knowledge, and our fellow human beings—fully respecting who they are, what they are, and where they are.
6. Purposeful Innovation
The Evolution
We intentionally adopt modern technology and research to elevate our value chains and transform the way we do things.
7. Decisiveness
The Execution
We eliminate guesswork, hesitation, and empty promises. We operate with strict discipline, taking full ownership of our timelines, compliance, and operational goals to deliver exactly what we commit to.
AVCWOI is a non-stock corporation governed by a multi-stakeholder platform. We operate through integrated clusters, including Production, Processing, Marketing, each with its own R&D and training, ensuring that no part of our income is distributed as dividends but is instead reinvested into our mission.
In line with our commitment to transparency and high social impact, our Articles of Incorporation (Eleventh Article) legally mandate that administrative expenses shall not exceed 30% of our total annual expenses. This "Efficiency Badge" ensures that at least 70% of all resources are funneled directly into the field and the "Soul of Soya" mission.
Our leadership consists of experienced practitioners in sustainable agriculture and organic production.
Our Production Team is headed by a Soya expert from UPLB, and our Processing Team is led by an experienced soya entrepreneur with a deep network in processing technologies.
We achieve systemic impact through Societal Threefolding—a Public-Private-Civil Society Partnership (PPCSP) model. As "Weavers," we facilitate the collaboration between government agencies, inclusive businesses, and civil society to create a "Systems-Wide Intelligence" that makes rural transformation unstoppable.
